This tour offers a marvelous wine experience by seeing two of the most important winemaking regions in Catalonia, Penedès and Pla de Bages, and gives you the chance to visit two very special family-run wineries.

Discover the secrets of the Catalan wine culture on a tour suitable for all.

Description:

• Start the day by visiting Finca Can n’Estella (an old cava winery) where you’ll taste 3 of the best international award-winning cavas, and discover ins and outs of cava production in this winery surrounded by vines.

• Afterwards, continue to Pla de Bages DO, to the Oller del Mas winery, a medieval castle where the current owner, the 36th generation, is continuing the winemaking tradition.

• Try 3 classes of premium selection wines and discover the production involved in creating these iconic Spanish products.

Tour itinerary*:

  9.15 a.m. Departure from Barcelona, in front of Hard Rock Café.

10.00 a.m. Welcome drink with Rabetllat i Vidal cava and chocolate almonds

10.30 a.m. Visit of the family’s home and the barrels cellar

11.30 a.m. Taste three cavas: Clot dels Oms (international awards) accompanied by cured meat                                  platters and snacks

12.30 p.m. Departure for Oller del Mas castle.

  1.15 p.m. Arrival at Oller del Mas clubhouse restaurant and welcome drink        

  1.30 p.m. Three-course “Catalan” menu

  3.45 p.m. Extended guided visit of the winery, castle and vines

  5.45 p.m. Wine tasting (3 premium wines) and cheese tasting

  6.45 p.m. Departure for Barcelona.

  7.45 p.m. Arrival in Barcelona, Hard Rock Café.
